Kodak Pocket Premo C

Red Bellows; cherry wood and chrome; back door opens to ground glass; plastic-like disk on top "The Premo Camera USA" 1904-16; The Premo Trademark (originated the name in 1893) was not originally Kodak's. It was acquired in 1907 when Eastman purchased the Rochester Optical and Camera Company. In 1903, the Premo camera was changed to incorporate an invention (known today as the film pack) by the Englishman J.E. Thornton (Thornton-Pickard).

Red Bellows; no wood; Serial Number stamped on the stand tab; . Bulb release on models before 1914. 118 film size introduced for this camera in 1900. Original price around $25 There are a lot of variations of the No. 3 FPK. The C3 is dated April 1907 to August 1908. Brian Coe's reference says the serial numbers began at 40,522-B which doesn't match with this sample.

Red Bellows; Mahogany Wood base; Horizontal and Vertical front adjustments; Original price $20 to $28; More than 28 lens/ shutter variations of this camera were made from 1903 to 1915. This example was made from June of 1908 to April of 1909 and included serial numbers 126,700 to 147,775 (assumed that around 21,000 were made).

Very good inside wood finish; Red Bellows dating this example between August 1909 and April 1915; Scissors action fold with 2 leg stand; SN stamped on bottom; Metal lens board with single reversible finder. Original price $10;

One of first cameras to provide ground glass focusing on roll film  1904-10 , film size 123 introduced with this camera.   This example has "E. J. LAND, JR.  216 MAIN ST." Gold Stamped on back.

c1901-08 Folding plate camera. Red Bellows, leather cover wood body. Nicely finished wood interior with all brass fittings. Wooden view finder that tilts for horizontal format.
